Trey Savage
Director, Rail Group

Trey Savage joined DJJ in 1993. He served in a variety of roles including a Marketing Representative and Regional Manager for the Rail Equipment Group. In 2009, he was promoted to Vice President.

Mr. Savage earned a BSBA degree in Marketing from Xavier University, Cincinnati, Ohio.

Jeff Blake
Retired Rail Assets

Jeff Blake joined DJJ in 2008. He has served in a variety of roles including Systems Analyst and Business Analyst, before being promoted to Regional Sales Manager in 2014.

Mr. Blake is a graduate of the University of Dayton and earned his MBA in Finance from Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Regional Railcar Sales

Eric Hausfeld joined DJJ in 2011. He served in a variety of roles including a Staff Accountant, Assistant Controller, and a Regional Buyer with U-Pull-&-Pay (UPAP),  DJJ’s self-serve used auto parts business.  In 2016, he was promoted to Regional Sales Manager for DJJ’s Rail Equipment Group.

Mr. Hausfeld earned his bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance and an MBA from the University of Cincinnati.

Jeff Schmutte DJJ

Jeff Schmutte
Regional Railcar Sales

Jeff Schmutte joined DJJ in 2015. Since joining DJJ, Jeff has served in roles covering the West, Midwest and Northeast Territories. He currently manages the West and Midwest Territory.

Prior to joining DJJ, Mr. Schmutte held sales and marketing roles with Altec Industries and General Cable. Mr. Schmutte has a Business Administration degree from Hanover College in Indiana.

Alex Lookatch
Department Manager,
Rail Assets

Alex joined Nucor in June of 2011 as a Commercial Buyer at Advantage Metals Recycling in Kansas City. He relocated to Tampa, FL in 2018 joining the Trademark Metals Recycling team as a Commercial Buyer.  In 2019 he became the Regional Commercial Manager for TMR – East Group relocating to the Miami area. In August of 2023 he joined TMR’s transportation team back in Tampa, FL as the Logistics Manager until March of 2024 when he shifted back down to TMR – East Group for a five month interim role as the Regional Operations Manager.

Alex earned a bachelor’s degree in international business from Purdue University.
